Winter Walk to School Month - This month, I will be sending home different challenges for students to participate in different activities that do not require walking to school.  This will give everyone a chance to be eligible for a variety of drawings (I have a ton of prizes from the organization putting this on).  Biggest thing for you is to just be aware of it.  Some challenges might be in the announcements as well.  

Cleaning Schedule - I've had some questions regarding the evening cleaning.  At this time, we are in a transition between employees for the yellow hallway and blue hallway routes.  This is the schedule that includes the extra cleaning of high touch surfaces.  Let me know if I missed you:

2nd Notice - The school attendance confirmation forms are returning at a pretty good pace.  We do have quite a few we are waitiing on yet.  We will send home that 2nd notification this week.  Any reminders on your end would also be helpful. 

Letter Sounds interactive activity - Found this online.  Might be something to consider in 4K and 5K to add to your rotations/centers.  Enjoy!

ACCESS Testing Window - The testing window will run from Feb. 22-April 30.  The state provided a bit longer of a window this year given the current circumstances.  Lori is working on a schedule for both in-person and virtual EL students.  As you receive the schedule, please note that students are not REQUIRED to complete any of the work they miss.  You can offer the work to them, but they cannot be required or penalized for missing it.  Also, she is servicing and assessing all KASD elementary EL students this year.  Please be patient during this process and let Lori or I know if you have any questions.  The hope it to be completed with the assessing by the end of March.  More to come!
